After 39 years of impacting and inspiring students and families, it is with a heavy heart that we say farewell to our beloved Dean Ira Mayo. To continue his long-standing legacy for future generations of students, we are establishing the Dean Ira Mayo Endowed Scholarship Fund in his honor.
The Dean Ira Mayo Endowed Scholarship
With your help, we wish to bring this scholarship fund to full endowment, of at least $25,000, so first year at Rider, first-generation-to-college students with high financial need can benefit from this scholarship for many years to come.
Endowed scholarships allow Rider to award financial support to deserving students each year. As the endowment grows, so too does the amount of scholarship support a student will receive.
We understand that not everyone can give a lot but we hope that everyone that has been impacted by Dean Mayo can give something to help create this scholarship.

During his nearly 40-year legacy at Rider, Dean Ira Mayo has made an impact on countless students, families, and colleagues, including ourselves. His presence on campus and influence on students will be sorely missed but the influence he's had on all of us will never be forgotten.
To use his own words from his Facebook announcement, "all good things must come to an end." While his last day at Rider is June 30th, we are asking for your help in solidifying his legacy at Rider long into the future and allowing his impact to continue to be felt by the next generations of Rider students.
