Help send 107.7 The Bronc to win The Marconi Radio Award in the Big Apple!

The Bronc has been nominated for it's fourth consecutive National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Radio Award for COLLEGE RADIO STATION OF THE YEAR.

This nomination and award is the highest recognition a commercial or non-commercial radio station can receive in the broadcast industry. WRRC-FM is only one of two college radio stations to ever receive four consecutive nominations.
Run exclusively by Rider students, The Bronc is competing against four other stations to be crowned the best college radio station in the nation. The winner will be announced Wednesday, October 25, at the NAB's annual Radio Show at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.

The Bronc WRRC-FM is looking to bring home the The Marconi Radio Award to Rider University and is in need of your help to get to NYC to make our students' dream of winning come true.

Thanks to our generous donors, we hit our initial goal of $7,000 - thank you! We are now seeking to raise additional funds to help cover the cost of incidentals and any unforeseen expenses that may arise. We appreciate your support - every single gift will bring us closer to our new goal!

The students of 107.7 The Bronc continue to produce an amazing on-air product that is consistently among the best in the country. Please help us raise the funding needed to send 107.7 The Bronc's entire student executive team to Manhattan to be in the audience when the winner for this prestigious national award is announced at the Marconi Radio Award reception.

Gifts will be used to...

...take General Manager John Mozes and 107.7 The Bronc's exec team to the 2023 NAB Marconi Radio Awards dinner, including transportation. Additional funds will be used to secure two exclusive Rider tables at the event, so all students may sit together during the awards ceremony. Any gifts received above and beyond the cost to travel to and attend the dinner and award ceremony will be applied toward unforeseen travels incidentals, as well as the construction costs and purchase of new equipment associated with the relocation of the radio station in 2020.

Why are donations necessary?

The pandemic has continued to adversely affect many institutions of higher learning, like Rider University, leaving us without the necessary funds to support incredible engaged-learning experiences like the NAB  Show, which is why we are counting on the support of 107.7 The Bronc alumni, family and friends. Please consider supporting this experience for our students who have worked so hard to earn this nomination and to be consistently considered one of the Top Five College Radio Stations in the nation.

A Personal Message from our Students

Emily O'Connor '26: "The Bronc is more than just a college radio station; it is a family, a place of creative freedom, hard work, and dedication from every student that calls 107.7 home. As I go into my sophomore year, I could never have imagined that I would be as involved as I am today! I have learned so much in my short time here, from communication to tech skills, all while getting real-world experience. It would be a huge honor to go to the city that never sleeps to network and experience the NAB Marconi Radio Awards and to celebrate all of our hard work as a family!"

Jake Serrano '24:
"My time at 107.7 The Bronc has taught and shown me so much. I've had tremendous accomplishments in my first few months from winning an IBS media award for best sports update in the nation to becoming the station's new sports director for 2023-24. The Bronc has taught me how to be a leader and enhance my media skills while giving me the opportunity to have a more significant impact on our community. Going to the NAB Marconi Radio Awards reception in NYC means all our hard work has been noticed. This station pushes 24/7 and never shies away from a new opportunity! Going to the Marconi’s means the world to me and to everyone in the station."
