A Message from Head Coach Evan Mager
We are very excited about year two as a program coming off an amazing first year. We went 6-2 in out of conference play, achieved multiple in conference wins and was only one game off of making the conference playoffs. Now in year two, we have grown tremendously both in ability but also in numbers. We went from a roster of 23 to now a roster of 36 and have already seen the positive impacts that will make.
With our growth comes additional expenses and with a very small alumni group (our first ever alumni at a total of 3!) we are looking for support to continue to build on our growth and success. 100% of the funds raised go back directly to the players to enhance the experience of our student-athletes. Funds allow us to provide a higher-level experience and add tools and equipment that may be outside of our budget but allow our players to benefit from each day. The kick start we have had so far is amazing and we are looking to build off of that throughout the year.
Some of the specific things we are fundraising for are, Scorebreak which is our film break down system that we use at every single practice and game, which also allows us to have Ipads on our sideline for player/coach review in real time. JustPlay- which is our playbook and scout app. All of our vital information that we use to prep for game day goes in here, along with players utilizing it to have their playbook notebook that they have 24/7 access to. Our spring break trip is our largest team bonding experience of the year. Much of our fundraised dollars directly go towards the experience for our players on this trip. This year we will be traveling to Nashville to play Vanderbilt. We are looking to have the best overall experience and the funds we raise directly help that.
We appreciate the constant support and the help as we kick things off this year. The support we have had not only to start this year but the entire year last year was absolutely amazing as a first year program. To all of our donors, families, friends, and fans we can not thank you enough. We hope to see you at games this year! This year's team mantra is "ALL IN" which is on all of our players' sticks. Thank you for being "ALL IN" with us this year and continuing to support our new program!
